Proximus Global, a leading digital communications company and a frontrunner in network API solutions, has launched its global network API aggregation platform, Konera, at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025 held in Mumbai. The innovative platform connects mobile operators, enterprises, and developers under a single API ecosystem, enabling seamless global connectivity and enhanced communication capabilities.

Konera, a combination of the words “connection” and “era,” is designed in alignment with the GSMA’s CAMARA standardization initiative. It bridges the gap between networks and applications by integrating APIs from multiple mobile network operators (MNOs) into one unified platform. This enables enterprises and developers to access communication features with global reach, scalability, and consistency.

Built on Proximus Global’s robust technology stack, Konera leverages the strengths of its Telesign and BICS brands. Telesign contributes advanced identity and intelligence API services, while BICS provides established partnerships with more than 300 mobile network operators worldwide. Together, these form a strong foundation for Konera’s growth, particularly in the fintech and digital communication sectors across India and global markets.

Route Mobile Limited, a subsidiary of Proximus Global, plays a pivotal role in expanding Konera’s adoption in India. As one of India’s leading cloud communication companies, Route Mobile combines local market expertise and enterprise relationships with Proximus Global’s global technology framework. This collaboration strengthens both companies’ positions in driving network API innovation and monetization across the Indian and international markets.

Rajdip Gupta, Managing Director and CEO of Route Mobile, emphasized that India’s digital economy is rapidly expanding, supported by a vibrant developer community and a strong demand for scalable, secure, and interoperable API solutions. “Through Konera, we are enabling new monetization opportunities for operators and seamless integration for enterprises,” said Gupta. He added that India’s position as a global technology hub makes it an ideal market for network API adoption.

According to Analysys Mason, global spending on CAMARA-based network APIs is expected to increase dramatically—from USD 550 million in 2024 to USD 7.6 billion by 2030, a growth of 1,282%. This surge highlights the immense opportunity ahead for API-driven digital services.

Currently, Proximus Global serves over 100 global enterprises across 20 countries, leveraging expertise from 70 major telecom operators. The company aims to make API access available to 92% of India’s population by the end of 2025 through partnerships with leading mobile network operators.

Jorn Vercamert, Chief Product Officer at Proximus Global, noted that network APIs represent a transformative opportunity for the telecom industry. “Network APIs turn network assets into programmable tools for identity verification, fraud prevention, and improved user experiences. However, success requires global standardization and accessibility. Konera delivers both, empowering operators, enterprises, and developers to innovate, monetize, and scale new digital services,” he explained.
