Tata Motors Limited has officially rebranded itself as Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, following the approval and implementation of its Composite Scheme of Arrangement involving its subsidiaries and shareholders.
In a regulatory filing to the BSE and NSE, the company informed that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) issued a Fresh Certificate of Incorporation on October 13, 2025, confirming the change in the company’s name. The move follows the Composite Scheme sanctioned by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench, through orders dated August 25, 2025, and September 10, 2025.
As per the disclosure, the company’s Memorandum and Articles of Association have been amended to reflect the new name. Necessary applications are being made to the stock exchanges to update the change in their respective records and platforms.
Under the approved scheme, TML Commercial Vehicles Limited (TMLCV) will subsequently change its name to Tata Motors Limited, marking the final step in the group’s structural reorganization aimed at streamlining its business operations.
The official certificate, issued by the Registrar of Companies, confirms that the entity originally incorporated as Tata Locomotive and Engineering Company Limited has now been renamed Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited.
