– Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. (MHIL), a leading private healthcare provider in India, has revealed its acquisition of a 100% stake in Alexis MultiSpeciality Hospital Private Limited (Alexis) for an Enterprise Value of INR 412 Crores.
– The Alexis-owned and operated hospital, boasting 200 beds, is situated on approximately 2 acres of land in Mankapur, North of Nagpur, which is recognized as an upscale residential and commercial area. With a structure comprising of ground plus six floors and a basement, the hospital spans a built-up area of approximately 2.25 lakh square feet. It provides comprehensive healthcare services including Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Transplants, along with diagnostic facilities.
– Equipped with state-of-the-art biomedical equipment such as Varian True Beam LINAC, 128 Slice CT Scan, 3 Tesla MRI, Digital X-Ray, and ARTIS Q Cath Lab, the hospital ensures high-quality medical care.
– The bed capacity has the potential to increase to approximately 340 beds, leveraging the available Floor Area Ratio (FAR) for the existing land and the robustness of the current structure. Moreover, there is an opportunity to enhance the hospital’s medical program, particularly in surgical specialties such as Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), Urology, Oncology, and Neurosciences.
– This strategic improvement can lead to enhancements in the Average Revenue per Occupied Bed (ARPOB) and the number of Occupied Bed Days (OBD), thereby augmenting the overall operational performance and patient care outcomes.
– As of now, the hospital’s Revenue and EBITDA stand at approximately INR 150 Crores and INR 25 Crores respectively. Notably, the hospital is cash-generating and enjoys a strong brand reputation in the regional market.
