Full Article:Â Ola Electric Mobility Limited announced that it has received Production Linked Incentive (PLI) certification for its Gen 3 scooter portfolio. The certification was granted by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
The PLI approval covers all seven models in the Gen 3 range, including the S1 Pro (3 kWh, 4 kWh, and Pro+ 4 kWh) and the S1 X series (2 kWh, 3 kWh, 4 kWh, and X+ 4 kWh). With both Gen 2 and Gen 3 scooters now PLI-certified, Ola Electric will be eligible for incentives ranging from 13% to 18% of determined sales value (DSV) until 2028.
According to the company, this development is expected to enhance profitability beginning the second quarter of FY26, as the Gen 3 models account for a large portion of sales. A company spokesperson stated that the certification strengthens Ola’s cost structure and margins, acting as a catalyst for achieving its target of turning EBITDA positive.
At its annual ‘Sankalp’ event, Ola also unveiled new models powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell, including the S1 Pro Sport (5.2 kWh and 4 kWh), S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh), and Roadster X+ (9.1 kWh). The introductory prices range from ₹1,49,999 to ₹1,89,999. Deliveries for the S1 Pro Sport will begin in January 2026, while the S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh and Roadster X+ 9.1 kWh will be available starting this Navratri.
