The Office of the Executive Engineer, Government of Maharashtra, has awarded Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) and its joint venture (JV) partner a ₹317.60 crore contract. The project involves constructing water lifting arrangements for the first stage of the Jigaon project, including civil, mechanical, and electrical components, and is set to be completed within 24 months. Located in Maharashtra, PEL’s share of the project is 35%.

The scope includes building water lifting systems for LIS 1 to 12, covering approach channels, rising mains, pumping machinery, switchyards, and all related civil, mechanical, and electrical works.

Ms. Kavita Shirvaikar, Acting Managing Director of Patel Engineering Limited, stated, “We are excited to be awarded this major irrigation project by the Government of Maharashtra. This project highlights our technical expertise and commitment to enhancing infrastructure. We look forward to working with the Government and our partners to ensure the project’s successful completion, which will boost agricultural productivity and improve water management in the region.”
