PVR INOX Limited, India’s largest and most premium cinema exhibitor, has announced the opening of a new 5-screen cinema at Alveal Fun Savvy Mall in Coimbatore. This marks the company’s third cinema in Coimbatore and the 24th in Tamil Nadu, increasing the total screen count in the state to 144 and in Coimbatore to 20.
Known as the second largest city in Tamil Nadu and often referred to as the “Manchester of South India” for its thriving textile industry, Coimbatore is a vital market for PVR INOX’s expansion strategy.
The new cinema at Alveal Fun Savvy Mall features 894 seats across five auditoriums, providing an immersive movie experience. PVR INOX enhances its presence in Tamil Nadu with a luxurious design that blends modern aesthetics and cutting-edge technology.
The inviting foyer transitions guests into the entertainment space, highlighted by dynamic screens and a vibrant concession area. Each auditorium has comfortable Udine sliders and distinct color themes red, gold, violet, and teal. Four auditoriums offer Next Gen 3D systems and Dolby 7.1 sound, while one features DTS X sound for exceptional audio quality.
