India : SJVN Green Energy Limited (“SGEL”), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited, has entered into a Power Usage Agreement (PUA) with Jammu & Kashmir Power Corporation Limited (JKPCL) in Jammu on February 23, 2024, for a solar power capacity of 300 MW.

Additionally, the 300 MW power will be sourced to JKPCL from the ongoing 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar project, currently under development as part of the CPSU Scheme by IREDA, at an expenditure of ₹5,491 Crores. This project is being executed under the Domestic Content Requirement (DCR) mode and is scheduled for completion by July 2024. The power generated from this project is intended for government utilization, either directly or through Discom.

The company is making significant strides towards realizing its Shared Vision of reaching 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040. This Shared Vision aligns closely with the Government of India’s pledge to generate 50% of its energy from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030.
