Maharashtra : SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has been granted Letter of Awards for a combined capacity of 1,352 MW for various solar power projects to be developed in Nashik, Solapur, Ahmednagar, and Pune Districts of Maharashtra under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana. These projects were secured through competitive bidding as part of a tender floated by MSEB Agro Power Limited (MSAPL) for a total capacity of 7,000 MW. The initiative falls under component C of the PM-KUSUM scheme, aiming to solarize feeder levels.

The investment required for developing these projects amounts to approximately ₹7,436 Crores, marking SGEL’s initial contribution to the PM-KUSUM Scheme. These projects are eligible for a maximum Central Financial Assistance of 30% of the project cost.

In alignment with the Government of India’s commitment to generating 50% of energy from non-fossil fuel-based resources by 2030, SGEL is ambitiously pursuing its Shared Vision of achieving 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040.
