Desco Infratech Limited has secured purchase orders worth ₹40.43 crore across solar and power infrastructure segments, strengthening its expansion into India’s evolving energy ecosystem. The orders were awarded by Sun Drops Energia Limited and KP Energy Limited, marking a strategic step in the company’s diversification beyond its traditional infrastructure operations.
The order received from Sun Drops Energia Limited involves execution of solar infrastructure works, while the contract from KP Energy Limited covers cable laying activities along with associated digging works in Gujarat. These projects are expected to enhance the company’s participation in renewable energy and power infrastructure development, supporting ongoing infrastructure growth in the region.
Desco Infratech has historically built its operational base within India’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector, executing underground steel pipeline installations, MDPE network development, and last-mile connectivity projects across multiple states. The company’s experience in these projects has helped strengthen its technical capabilities and operational execution standards over time.
Leveraging this foundation, the company is now expanding into adjacent sectors such as solar and power infrastructure. The newly secured contracts reflect its strategy of applying existing engineering expertise and execution capabilities to emerging energy segments aligned with India’s clean energy transition.
Management stated that the new orders represent an important milestone as the company progresses toward becoming a diversified energy infrastructure player. The focus remains on capability-led and sustainable growth by expanding into complementary sectors while maintaining operational discipline and quality execution.
