Indo SMC Limited has announced the receipt of a purchase order valued at ₹28.43 crore for the supply of high-tension electrical equipment, according to a regulatory filing submitted to the Bombay Stock Exchange under SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

The order pertains to the supply of 630 AMP High-Tension (HT) Air Insulated Bus Duct systems, which are widely used in industrial power distribution networks for efficient electricity transmission. The company confirmed that the contract has been awarded by a prominent Indian mining and steel company engaged in iron ore mining, sponge iron manufacturing, and power generation operations.

The scope of the order includes the delivery of approximately 4,120 square metres of HT Air Insulated Bus Duct systems, designed for high-performance electrical distribution. These systems utilize air as the primary insulation medium and incorporate aluminium or copper conductors enclosed in metal housings for durability and protection.

According to the company, the supplied systems are capable of handling short-circuit currents ranging between 27–65 kA for one second, with peak current tolerance reaching up to 56–143 kA, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments.

Indo SMC Limited stated that the order will be executed within a 12-week timeframe, as stipulated in the purchase agreement. The contract has been categorized as a domestic commercial order, with no related party involvement or promoter interest in the awarding entity.

The company highlighted that the order reflects its continued execution capabilities and long-standing relationships with industrial clients in the power and metals sectors.
