SpiceJet has recently finalized lease agreements for 10 aircraft, aiming to bolster its capacity in preparation for the upcoming summer schedule. This initiative underscores SpiceJet’s commitment to offering seamless connectivity and improved services to passengers, especially during peak travel seasons like summers. The additional aircraft will facilitate the airline in meeting the escalating demand for air travel, particularly during the busy summer months.

Moreover, SpiceJet has strengthened its fleet capabilities by acquiring three airframes as part of recent settlement agreements with key aircraft lessors, resulting in substantial savings of INR 685 Crore for the airline. Notably, on March 7th, SpiceJet announced the successful resolution of a $49.8 million (INR 413 Crore) dispute with Echelon Ireland Madison One Ltd., leading to savings of $48 million (INR 398 Crore) and the acquisition of two airframes.

Furthermore, SpiceJet resolved an $11.2 million (INR 93 Crore) dispute with aircraft leasing firm Cross Ocean Partners, resulting in the transfer of an airframe and an engine to the airline. Additionally, SpiceJet and Celestial Aviation, a subsidiary of AerCap, mutually settled their $29.9 million (INR 250 Crore) dispute, leading to a saving of INR 235 Crore for SpiceJet. SpiceJet remains steadfast in its commitment to serving the Indian aviation sector and anticipates continuing its growth trajectory while providing unmatched value and convenience to passengers nationwide.
