ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned the Phase-I Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) component of its Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project in Rajasthan, marking a key milestone in the company’s energy storage portfolio.
According to a regulatory filing dated September 14, 2026, the company commissioned the BESS component through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seven Private Limited.
The commissioned Phase-I BESS has a capacity of 53.63 MW/300 MWh and forms part of a larger 300 MW/1,581 MWh FDRE project located at Village Kelan, Tehsil Chhatargarh, District Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The company stated that the BESS component of the project was commissioned on September 14, 2026. The corresponding renewable energy generation component remains under development.
The Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the commissioned BESS component is scheduled for September 16, 2026.
The project is part of ACME Solar’s efforts to develop integrated renewable energy and energy storage infrastructure. Battery energy storage systems can support the integration of renewable power into the grid by storing electricity and enabling its dispatch when required.
With the commissioning of the 300 MWh BESS phase, ACME Solar has advanced the storage component of its larger FDRE project while construction and development of the associated renewable generation capacity continue.
