Emami Limited has announced its decision to acquire the remaining 73.5% stake in Axiom Ayurveda Private Limited (AAPL), an associate company, in a cash transaction valued at up to ₹200 crore. The development was disclosed in a regulatory filing dated March 31, 2026.

Following the completion of the transaction, Emami’s shareholding in Axiom Ayurveda will increase from approximately 26.5% to 100%, resulting in AAPL becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Strategic Expansion in Healthy Beverage Segment

Axiom Ayurveda operates in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) space, primarily focusing on healthy beverages. The company is known for its aloe vera-based drinks and fruit pulp formulations, catering to the growing demand for wellness-oriented products in India.

The acquisition aligns with Emami’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the health and wellness segment while expanding its portfolio in the beverages category.

Transaction Structure and Timeline

The acquisition will be executed entirely through cash consideration. The company has indicated that the deal is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Notably, the transaction does not fall under related party transactions. Additionally, no promoter or group entities of Emami have any direct interest in Axiom Ayurveda, apart from its current status as an associate company.
