Zen Technologies Limited announced the completion of its acquisition of the remaining 24% equity stake in Applied Research International Private Limited (ARIPL). The company had earlier acquired a 76% stake in February 2025, and with this transaction, ARIPL is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Zen Technologies.

The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Zen Technologies’ growth strategy, reinforcing its position as one of India’s most diversified defence and simulation technology companies. Full ownership of ARIPL enables Zen to expand its simulation expertise into naval and marine domains, complementing its established presence in land and air defence solutions.

With this integration, Zen Technologies plans to deliver comprehensive, multi-domain simulation and training systems tailored to the evolving needs of India’s armed forces, including the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The acquisition aligns with Zen’s mission to enhance India’s self-reliance in defence technology by offering advanced, indigenous solutions that improve operational readiness and reduce dependence on imports.

Ashok Atluri, Chairman and Managing Director of Zen Technologies, stated, “The completion of this acquisition marks an important step in our journey to build a comprehensive simulation portfolio across the defence spectrum. By integrating ARIPL’s maritime expertise under the Zen umbrella, we are expanding from land into the sea domain and strengthening our ability to deliver integrated solutions across multiple services.”

Atluri added that the company’s focus will now include developing new products for naval markets in India and abroad. The move will help ARI, already a leader in the marine segment, pursue larger, high-value contracts.
