Bondada Engineering Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB), Government of Goa, for a proposed investment of approximately ₹3,000 crore in solar energy and biogas projects in the state. The agreement was signed on October 30, 2026, and is expected to generate more than 700 employment opportunities.

Under the proposed agreement, Bondada Group plans to establish projects in the renewable energy sector, focusing on solar energy and biogas. The proposed investment is aimed at expanding the company’s renewable energy portfolio and strengthening its presence in India’s clean energy infrastructure sector.

As part of the agreement, Goa-IPB will facilitate the necessary permissions, registrations, approvals and statutory clearances required for setting up and commencing operations of the proposed projects. The board will also assist the company in accessing eligible fiscal and non-fiscal incentives available under the prevailing policies and regulations of the Goa government.

The proposed investment aligns with India’s broader renewable energy expansion and clean energy objectives. The projects are expected to contribute to sustainable infrastructure development in Goa while creating employment opportunities in the state.

However, Bondada Engineering clarified that the MoU is non-binding in nature. The proposed investments and projects will be subject to further evaluation, statutory approvals, clearances and other necessary formalities. Therefore, the investment does not represent a confirmed project execution commitment at this stage.

The development marks a proposed expansion of Bondada Group’s renewable energy operations beyond its existing business activities, with solar energy and biogas identified as the key areas for investment.
