Concord Control Systems Limited has announced that it has secured a new order valued at ₹279.90 crore for KAVACH 4.0 locomotive equipment. The contract has been received through Progota India Private Limited, an associate company of Concord Control Systems, according to a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges on May 30, 2026.
The order has been awarded by Indian Railways and involves the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of onboard KAVACH 4.0 equipment for locomotives. KAVACH is India’s indigenous automatic train protection system designed to improve railway safety by helping prevent collisions, overspeeding and signal passing at danger.
As per the disclosure, the project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months. The contract is classified as a domestic order and represents a significant addition to the company’s order book amid increasing deployment of railway safety technologies across the country.
Concord Control Systems stated that the contract will be executed by Progota India Private Limited, which received the order for the supply and commissioning of onboard KAVACH 4.0 locomotive equipment. The latest order aligns with Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to expand the implementation of advanced train protection systems across its network.
The company further clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority. It also confirmed that the order does not fall under related-party transactions.
The ₹279.90 crore contract is expected to strengthen Concord Control Systems’ position in the railway signalling and safety solutions segment, as Indian Railways continues to invest in modernization initiatives and technology-driven safety infrastructure.
