RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a new domestic project from the Department of Education under the Samagra Shiksha initiative, according to an official regulatory filing. The company has received a Letter of Acceptance for the establishment of smart classrooms across government schools in Himachal Pradesh.

The project involves the deployment of smart classroom infrastructure in 596 schools, aimed at enhancing digital learning capabilities and improving access to modern education tools. The initiative is part of the broader Samagra Shiksha programme, which focuses on integrated school education reforms.

The total estimated value of the contract stands at ₹14.29 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes. The nature of the contract is classified as a project-based domestic order.

RailTel stated that the execution timeline for the project extends up to 24 March 2027, indicating a multi-year implementation schedule. The company confirmed that the work order was officially received on 25 March 2026.
