Suzlon has secured a maiden 200 MW wind energy order from Ayana Renewable Power Limited, marking another major addition to its wind project portfolio. The order will be executed in Limbawas, Madhya Pradesh, and involves the installation of 64 units of Suzlon’s flagship S144 wind turbine.

The latest order also marks Suzlon’s third DevCo-led wind order across Madhya Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. With the addition of this project, the company’s S144 platform has crossed the 10 GW milestone in cumulative sales orders.

64 Suzlon S144 Wind Turbines to Be Installed

Under the project, Suzlon will deploy 64 S144 wind turbine generators, each having a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, resulting in a total project capacity of approximately 200 MW.

Suzlon will execute the project through its integrated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) capabilities. The scope will include turbine supply, land acquisition, balance of plant (BoP), pooling substation (PSS), extra-high-voltage (EHV) transmission line, commissioning, and operations and maintenance services.

The electricity generated by the project will be connected to the Madhya Pradesh state grid through MPPCL.

Ayana Expands Wind Energy Presence in Madhya Pradesh

For Ayana Renewable Power, the project represents its maiden wind project in Madhya Pradesh. The company has developed a renewable energy portfolio spanning wind, solar and round-the-clock renewable power.

Suzlon Vice Chairman and Co-Founder Girish Tanti said the partnership would support Ayana’s expansion into Madhya Pradesh and strengthen its wind portfolio. He also highlighted the state’s estimated 55 GW wind potential at 150 metres, positioning Madhya Pradesh as an important market for India’s future wind energy development.

Suzlon CEO Ajay Kapur said the company’s end-to-end capabilities enable it to develop and execute wind projects while creating new business opportunities. He noted that Suzlon had secured four wind orders across two states within a short period.

Ayana Renewable Power’s Head of Business Development Lakshmi Narayanan said the project was an important milestone as the company establishes its wind presence in Madhya Pradesh. According to Ayana, Suzlon’s technology, execution capabilities and integrated project delivery approach were key factors in selecting the company as the project partner.

S144 Platform Crosses 10 GW Milestone

The order is significant for Suzlon’s S144 platform, which has now surpassed 10 GW in cumulative sales orders. The milestone reinforces the company’s position in India’s utility-scale wind energy market as demand for renewable power generation continues to expand.

The Madhya Pradesh project will further add to Suzlon’s presence in the state and contribute to the development of renewable power capacity connected to the state grid.
