Reliance Power Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Reliance NU Energies Private Limited, has received the Letter of Award (LOA) from SJVN Limited for 750 MW / 3000 MWh capacity in the first-of-its-kind FDRE ISTS tender. The tender had a total capacity allocation of 1500 MW / 6000 MWh and Reliance secured the highest share at 50% of the total awarded capacity.

This project strengthens Reliance Group’s position as India’s largest Solar + Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) player. With the latest win, the Group now holds more than 4 GWp of solar and 6.5 GWh of BESS portfolio across four tenders within a span of less than one year.

The project will be based on a hybrid renewable configuration integrating approximately 900 MWp of solar generation and over 3000 MWh of battery storage capacity. The tariff discovered for this award stood at ₹6.74 per kWh through a competitive online reverse auction process. The FDRE model supports round-the-clock renewable dispatch capability, enabling supply of renewable peaking power to DISCOMs.
