Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE), a Navratna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY27, reporting strong year-on-year growth in revenue, profitability and operational performance. The company posted revenue of ₹1,814.62 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of ₹172.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The company’s revenue increased 38.53% year-on-year from ₹1,309.87 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26. Total income also registered healthy growth, rising 38.47% to ₹1,914.18 crore compared with ₹1,382.42 crore in the year-ago period. The performance reflects continued execution across the company’s shipbuilding and engineering operations.

Operating performance remained strong during the quarter. EBITDA increased 34.88% year-on-year to ₹248.79 crore from ₹184.46 crore in Q1 FY26. Profit before tax (PBT) rose 38.87% to ₹231.53 crore from ₹166.72 crore, while profit after tax climbed 43.83% to ₹172.84 crore from ₹120.17 crore. Earnings per share (EPS) also improved to ₹15.09 from ₹10.49 in the same quarter last year.

According to the company, it intends to maintain its growth momentum by strengthening its business development, marketing and bidding efforts to secure both domestic and export orders. GRSE said it is simultaneously focusing on greenfield and brownfield expansion projects to build larger and more technologically advanced platforms while maintaining global quality standards.

The company also stated that it plans to leverage new technologies, including AI-driven shipbuilding processes, to improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity across its manufacturing operations.
