Pune, India : Suzlon Group , India’s foremost provider of renewable energy solutions, has announced a recent contract win to construct a 72.45 MW wind power project for Juniper Green Energy Private Limited. The project entails installing 23 wind turbine generators (WTGs) equipped with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower, each boasting a capacity of 3.15 MW, at the client’s location in Gujarat’s Dwarka district.

This order pertains to Suzlon’s larger-rated 3.15 MW, S144-140m turbines from the 3 MW product series. Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and oversee the project’s execution, including erection and commissioning. Additionally, Suzlon will be responsible for comprehensive operations and maintenance services post-commissioning.

JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, expressed delight at securing the company’s third order with Juniper Green Energy Private Limited in a short span. He highlighted Juniper Green Energy’s longstanding commitment to renewable energy and their consistent efforts to increase renewable energy installations in the country. Chalasani emphasized Suzlon’s pride in being chosen by committed customers like Juniper Green Energy for their leading technology and comprehensive capabilities across the entire wind energy value chain. He also acknowledged the support of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) in promoting sustainable energy in the state, in alignment with Gujarat’s progressive renewable energy policy. Chalasani reiterated Suzlon’s commitment to India’s renewable ambitions while supporting the vision of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

He expressed delight in partnering once again with Suzlon, India’s leading renewable energy solutions provider, for their wind energy project. Suzlon’s turbines feature the time-tested Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology, efficiently integrating wind turbines into the utility network to meet grid requirements. Suzlon’s research and development efforts are continuously focused on enhancing turbine performance, harnessing more energy from low wind sites, and reducing the cost of energy.
