Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has entered into a two-year partnership with Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), led by George Yang, the master franchisee of McDonald’s in the Philippines. This marks TCS’s first collaboration with the fast-food chain in the APAC region, aimed at standardizing and digitizing IT operations for over 760 McDonald’s restaurants across the country.

TCS will upgrade McDonald’s IT systems in the Philippines by migrating to SAP S/4HANA on RISE. This partnership aims to enhance GADC’s infrastructure, providing better insights, improved decision-making, and optimized operations.

As of late 2023, McDonald’s has over 42,000 locations globally, with 95% operated by independent franchisees. GADC has seen significant growth in the Philippines, focusing on digital transformation and standardizing IT systems across its restaurants.

The upgrade will enhance efficiency, optimize operating costs, and improve digital transformation at GADC. TCS aims to boost the franchisee experience and workforce productivity while future-proofing processes to support growth. Using the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), TCS will provide tailored app development, automation, data analytics, and AI solutions.

These integrations will enhance GADC’s financial, materials, and asset management, among other areas. This partnership highlights TCS’s expanding presence in the Philippines, where it has been operational since 2008, with over 5,000 employees serving various sectors. TCS has also been recognized as a Top Employer in the Philippines from 2017 to 2024.
