In a major advancement for agriculture in Jammu and Kashmir, Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd. and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-Kashmir) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver innovative, technology-driven solutions to local farmers. The MoU was formalized by SKUAST-Kashmir Vice Chancellor Professor Nazeer Ahmad Ganai and Mr. Ajit Jain, Joint MD of Jain Irrigation Systems Limited, at Jain Hills, Jalgaon.

This collaboration aims to introduce cutting-edge irrigation methods and sustainable farming practices tailored to the region’s specific needs. Key focuses will include improving water management, developing high-quality planting material, boosting crop yields, and advancing climate-smart technologies and precision farming practices to ensure long-term agricultural sustainability.

This collaboration will provide farmers in Jammu & Kashmir with training programs, demonstrations of smart irrigation systems, and guidance on best practices for advanced farming technology. The initiative aims to foster innovation and adaptability, helping farmers address climate challenges, reduce water wastage, and maximize crop yields.
