- EaseMyTrip.com, a prominent online travel technology platform in India, reveals that its board has given in-principle approval for its latest joint venture: a deluxe 5-star hotel in the prestigious area of Ayodhya, strategically positioned near the iconic Shree Ram Mandir. This venture marks a notable advancement in enhancing the spiritual experience for pilgrims and tourists alike. Situated less than 1 kilometer from the revered temple, the hotel offers guests an unmatched combination of spirituality and opulence.
- The significance of improving the visitor experience at pilgrimage sites is underscored by Ayodhya’s status as a premier destination. In 2022, religious tourism attracted 1439 million tourists, generating INR 1.34 lakh crore in revenue. By 2028, the sector is projected to generate a revenue of 59 billion, thereby creating 140 million temporary and permanent jobs by 2030.
- As a joint venture partner, EaseMyTrip pledges to invest up to INR 100 crores in Jeewani Hospitality Private Limited, the entity overseeing the project during its incorporation phase. This investment will constitute 50% of the total paid-up share capital of the joint venture company on a fully diluted basis through equity swap, once the finalization process concludes.
