EMS Limited Emerges as Lowest Bidder for ₹102.85 Crore Varanasi Sewer Project

EMS Limited has received the Lowest Bidder (L1) status from UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi, for a major sewer infrastructure development project in Uttar Pradesh. The company disclosed the development through a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges on June 6, 2026.

According to the filing, the estimated order value, excluding Goods and Services Tax (GST), is approximately ₹10,284.76 lakh, equivalent to around ₹102.85 crore.

The project has been awarded by UP Jal Nigam (Urban), Varanasi, and pertains to the improvement of sewer infrastructure in multiple areas under the Varanasi Nagar Nigam.

EMS Limited stated that the scope of work includes surveying, soil investigation, design, and the supply of all required materials, labour, testing and commissioning activities on a turnkey basis.

The contract specifically covers the laying and jointing of sewer networks and providing sewer house connections across 18 problematic wards of Varanasi Nagar Nigam. The identified wards include Shivpurwa, Tulasipur, Birdopur, and Kajipura, among others.

The company further disclosed that the contract has been awarded to it as a domestic entity under the L1 category. The execution timeline for the project is 24 months from the commencement date.

EMS Limited also clarified that neither the company’s promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarded contract. Additionally, the company confirmed that the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction.

The latest order win strengthens EMS Limited’s order book and highlights its continued participation in urban infrastructure and water management projects across India.
