The project covers planning, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 4G mobile network infrastructure at 7,613 sites on a turnkey basis.
The latest order follows the successful completion of an earlier Phase IX 4G deployment project executed by ITI Limited in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The previous contract, valued at ₹264 crore, involved the deployment of 4G mobile network infrastructure across 23,633 sites in the BSNL West Zone.
Under the new contract, ITI Limited will undertake the supply, installation and commissioning of 7,613 additional 4G sites, including saturation sites funded under the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) programme. The project is aimed at expanding BSNL’s indigenous 4G network across western India.
The BSNL West Zone includes Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and the Mumbai Licensed Service Area (LSA). The project scope includes network planning, engineering, equipment supply, installation, testing and commissioning.
Commenting on the development, ITI Limited Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Rai said the order reflects BSNL’s continued confidence in the company’s execution capabilities. He added that ITI remains committed to supporting India’s indigenous telecom infrastructure initiatives.
Apart from the newly awarded project, ITI Limited is also executing BharatNet Phase III projects worth around ₹7,000 crore for BSNL across Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.
The latest order strengthens ITI Limited’s order book and expands its role in the rollout of BSNL’s indigenous 4G network across the country.
