Khavda ,Gujarat : Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s foremost renewable energy (RE) company and the second-largest solar PV developer globally, has successfully operationalized a solar capacity of 551 MW in Khavda, Gujarat. This milestone has been achieved through the supply of power to the national grid.

  • AGEL aims to develop 30 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy at Khavda, which will generate approximately 81 billion units of electricity annually.This massive endeavor is projected to power 16.1 million homes and prevent the emission of 58 million tonnes of CO2 annually.With this ambitious project, AGEL solidifies its leadership position in India, boasting the largest operational portfolio of 9,029 megawatts (MW) and a total portfolio of 20,844 MW.
  • AGEL accomplished this remarkable milestone within a span of 12 months from the initiation of work on the Khavda RE park. This journey began with the development of fundamental infrastructure such as roads and connectivity, along with the establishment of a self-sufficient social ecosystem. Notably, AGEL also undertook the significant task of transforming the rugged and desolate terrain of the Rann of Kutch into a livable environment for its workforce, which now numbers 8,000 strong.
  • AGEL has laid out plans to develop 30 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity at this RE park. This projected capacity is anticipated to be operationalized within the next five years. Upon completion, the Khavda RE park will emerge as the largest renewable energy installation globally.
  • The energy generated from the Khavda RE park has the capacity to power 16.1 million homes annually. With demonstrated proficiency in developing large-scale renewable projects, a resilient supply chain network, and advanced technological capabilities, AGEL stands at the forefront to construct this unparalleled gigascale plant, which stands unmatched in the global clean energy sector.
