Uttar Pradesh : Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has secured an order from NTPC Ltd for the establishment of the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2×800 MW) in Sonebhadra District, Uttar Pradesh. This contract pertains to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) package for the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (2×800 MW) situated in Sonebhadra, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The contract, awarded through International Competitive Bidding, involves the supply of equipment such as boilers, turbines, generators, and associated auxiliaries, along with electrical and Control & Instrumentation (C&I) components, erection and commissioning, civil works, and has a completion period of 50 months for Unit 1 and 54 months for Unit 2, with a value exceeding INR 9,500 Crores excluding GST, and both NTPC Limited and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited being Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) with no additional interest from the promoter or promoter group in the entity awarding the contract.
