On 21st February 2025, the trading activity in the Capital Market segment across NSE, BSE, and MSEI reflected a contrasting trend between Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) and Foreign Institutional Investors/Foreign Portfolio Investors (FII/FPI).
DII recorded a robust buy value of ₹12,889.44 crores, alongside a sell value of ₹10,004.83 crores, resulting in a positive net value of ₹2,884.61 crores, indicating strong buying interest from domestic investors.
Conversely, FII/FPI displayed a different pattern, with a buy value of ₹10,144.33 crores and a significantly higher sell value of ₹13,593.48 crores, resulting in a negative net value of ₹-3,449.15 crores. This suggests that foreign investors were net sellers on that day, signaling a cautious or bearish sentiment in the market.
