- JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has successfully obtained a capacity allocation of 6.5 KTPA for establishing a green hydrogen production facility. This achievement came through the inaugural auction held by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) scheme.
- The company has been granted a Letter of Award (LoA) by SECI, with the capacity expected to be operational within 36 months from the LoA date. This will involve incentives totaling ₹67.6 Crores over a three-year period following commissioning.
- The company has established an ambitious goal to achieve a generation capacity of 20 GW and an energy storage capacity of 40 GWh by 2030. With a total capacity of 9.8 GW, including projects under construction, the company is on track to meet its interim target of 10 GW by 2025. Furthermore, the company has already secured 3.4 GWh of energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro pumped storage projects. JSW Energy is committed to a significant reduction of 50% in its carbon footprint by 2030 and aims to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
