PVR INOX Limited has expanded its footprint in Central India with the launch of a new three-screen premium multiplex at Mall 11 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The company said the new property strengthens its presence in emerging Tier II cities and increases its overall network to 1,782 screens across 355 properties in 113 cities in India and Sri Lanka.

The newly opened cinema features three premium auditoriums with a combined seating capacity of 659 luxury recliner seats. The multiplex is equipped with 2K projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound and next-generation 3D technology to enhance the movie-viewing experience.

Located in the Madan Mahal area, the multiplex is PVR INOX’s second cinema in Jabalpur. The company stated that the property spans approximately 19,430 square feet and has been developed in partnership with Satya Prakash Group. With this addition, PVR INOX now operates 10 cinemas with 55 screens across Madhya Pradesh and 42 cinemas with 204 screens across Central India.

According to the company, the cinema is designed with contemporary interiors inspired by Art Deco architecture, featuring ambient lighting, refined finishes and a sculptural ceiling. In addition to premium screening facilities, the multiplex includes an expanded food and beverage menu offering freshly prepared snacks and cinema favourites.

The opening coincides with the theatrical release of Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, which PVR INOX said marks the inaugural screening at the new property.

Commenting on the launch, Managing Director Ajay Bijli said the expansion reflects the company’s strategy of growing its presence in India’s emerging cities, where improving infrastructure and rising consumer demand are driving growth in the entertainment sector. He added that the company aims to bring premium cinema experiences supported by advanced technology and enhanced customer comfort.

Executive Director Sanjeev Kumar Bijli said cinemas continue to serve as destinations for social experiences beyond movie watching. He noted that the Jabalpur property has been designed to reflect the city’s character while offering luxury seating, hospitality and modern cinema technology.

The latest opening forms part of PVR INOX’s ongoing expansion strategy focused on strengthening its presence in India’s high-growth markets and increasing access to premium cinema infrastructure across Tier II and emerging urban centres.
