Pune , India : Route Mobile Limited, a prominent cloud communication platform provider for enterprises, over-the-top (OTT) players, and mobile network operators (MNO), has joined forces with Billeasy E Solutions Private Limited, an integration partner based in Mumbai. Together, they aim to introduce a pioneering ticket purchase experience through Rich Communication Services (RCS) Business Messaging for Maha Metro Pune. This innovative solution is designed to streamline and improve the process of buying metro tickets, providing commuters with a smooth and efficient journey.

Through this strategic partnership, users will enjoy the convenience of purchasing Maha Metro Pune e-tickets directly via RCS Messages on their Android phones. To utilize this service, users simply need to scan a QR code and engage with the official RCS account of Maha Metro Pune. They can then follow simple instructions, such as selecting their ‘from’ and ‘to’ stations, specifying the number of tickets, and making payment using their preferred method (UPI, Net banking, Credit, or debit cards). Upon successful completion, users will receive their tickets as an RCS message in the form of a QR Code. They can present this QR code upon entering the station to complete their journey. This entire process is seamless, without requiring the download of any new app, and operates within the Messages app.

In instances where handsets do not support RCS, the user journey smoothly switches to other Over-The-Top (OTT) channels, guaranteeing uninterrupted service. Currently undergoing Customer User Group (CUG) testing, metro staff stationed at selected Maha Metro Pune stations will assist commuters in the RCS ticket purchase process by providing QR codes. This proactive approach improves accessibility and ensures a seamless transition to the new ticketing system for Pune Metro users.
