Route Mobile Limited (Route Mobile) has collaborated with Billeasy E Solutions Private Limited (Billeasy) to introduce WhatsApp-based ticket booking services for metros in Pune, Hyderabad, Nagpur, and Delhi. These metros collectively serve over 75 lakh commuters daily. Users can access this service by interacting with the official WhatsApp account of their respective metro, selecting stations, completing payments, and receiving tickets directly via WhatsApp. Payment can also be made seamlessly within the WhatsApp interface.

Route Mobile has pioneered this service for four out of the 15 cities in India with active Metro services, establishing itself as a leader in this field. The initiative began with the Delhi Metro in the latter half of 2023, followed by expansions to Nagpur, Pune, and Hyderabad through their partnership with integration partner Billeasy, known for pioneering this solution since 2020.

This WhatsApp-based ticket booking involves cutting-edge features such as web views and integrated payments, developed by Route Mobile at its R&D center, Route Lab. The solution is designed to be user-friendly and robust, ensuring ease of use, availability, speed, and security for commuters.

To utilize this service, users simply need to chat with the official WhatsApp account of their metro, follow prompts to select stations, specify the number of tickets, and proceed with payment using their preferred method (UPI, Net banking, Credit or debit cards). Upon successful transaction, users receive their tickets as a WhatsApp message containing a QR ticket link, which can be presented at the station entrance to commence their journey.
