Rappid Valves (India) Limited has secured a new domestic order worth approximately Rs. 18.05 crore (excluding taxes) from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) for the supply of valves and components for the Indian Navy’s 5 Fleet Support Ships Programme.
The order strengthens Rappid Valves’ presence in the defence and marine engineering sectors, particularly in projects related to India’s naval capabilities.
According to the company, the contract involves the supply of specialised valves and associated components required for the Indian Navy’s Fleet Support Ships Programme. These vessels play a crucial role in providing logistical support, replenishment, and operational assistance to naval fleets during extended deployments.
The company stated that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, one of India’s leading engineering and manufacturing enterprises. Rappid Valves also clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in the awarding entity, and the transaction does not qualify as a related party transaction.
Regarding execution timelines, Rappid Valves said that the order is expected to be completed within approximately one year for three ships, while supplies for the remaining two ships are scheduled to be completed by FY 2027-28.
The latest order is expected to enhance the company’s order book and reinforces its position as a supplier of critical flow control solutions for strategic sectors, including defence and marine applications.
