HCL Technologies has announced that its enterprise software division, HCLSoftware, will acquire Jaspersoft from Cloud Software Group in a transaction valued at USD 240 million. The acquisition will be executed as a 100 percent cash deal and structured as an asset carve out.

The acquisition is aligned with HCL Technologies’ strategy to deepen its Data and AI capabilities by enhancing the Actian business within HCLSoftware. By integrating Jaspersoft’s embedded analytics and pixel perfect reporting technologies, the company aims to deliver more comprehensive and scalable business intelligence solutions to enterprise customers.

Jaspersoft is known for its business intelligence and reporting platform that enables organizations to embed analytics directly into applications. Its solutions are widely used across regulated sectors such as banking, financial services and government, where accuracy, consistency and compliance driven reporting are critical.

HCL Technologies stated that demand for data management, governance and analytics solutions has increased steadily as enterprises accelerate digital transformation and AI adoption. The addition of Jaspersoft is expected to strengthen end to end data management offerings, while expanding reach among global developers, data engineers and solution architects.

As part of the transaction, approximately 115 employees associated with Jaspersoft are expected to transition to HCLSoftware, supporting continuity in product development and customer engagement. The acquisition will require regulatory approvals in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States.

HCL Technologies expects the transaction to be completed within six months of signing. The company believes the acquisition will further strengthen its position in enterprise analytics, data platforms and AI driven software solutions, supporting long term growth across global markets.
