Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, a major provider of EV charging solutions in India and a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors Limited, India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer.

The agreement will see the establishment of 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in major metropolitan areas including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This initiative builds on their existing partnership to promote sustainable mobility by offering convenient charging solutions for small electric commercial vehicles.

The collaboration will also feature exclusive charging tariffs for Tata Motors’ electric CV owners, which will reduce operating costs and enhance profitability. Additionally, with nearly 1,000 strategically placed fast chargers planned, electric CV users across India will soon benefit from an expanded charging network.

Tata Power’s EZ Charge network now includes over 100,000 home chargers, 5,500+ public and fleet points, and 1,100+ bus stations across 530 cities, promoting electric mobility in India. Tata Motors supports this with the Ace EV, India’s leading electric small commercial vehicle, featuring advanced battery management and ‘Fleet Edge’ telematics for real-time vehicle and driver insights.

Mr. Deepesh Nanda, CEO & MD of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, stated, “With one of India’s largest EV charging networks, Tata Power is dedicated to supporting electric vehicle owners with reliable and accessible solutions. We’re extending our reach from public, semi-public, bus/fleet, and home chargers to include commercial vehicle charging. This collaboration highlights our commitment to advancing e-mobility with a comprehensive and dependable charging network across the country.”
