VA TECH WABAG, a leading global player in water technology, continues to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and solidify its leadership in the O&M sector. The company has secured an approximately USD 14 million (around INR 121 Crores) contract from BAPCO Refining B.S.C. (BAPCO) for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant (IWTP) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The contract is for a duration of seven years.

This cutting-edge IWTP processes 4,400 US gallons per minute (USGPM) of wastewater and employs advanced Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology, ensuring high treatment efficiency that meets stringent environmental and industrial standards.

With this significant contract, WABAG further expands its O&M portfolio in Bahrain. Notably, the company has been responsible for the O&M of the 40 MLD Madinat Salman Sewage Treatment Plant in Bahrain since November 2018.
