LT Foods, a venerable Indian-origin global FMCG company with over 70 years of experience in the consumer food sector, has inaugurated a cutting-edge facility in the United Kingdom (U.K.).
This new facility marks LT Foods’ ambitious entry into the U.K. rice market, aiming to cater to the increasing demand for authentic and high-quality rice and rice-based food products.
Equipped with the latest technology and advanced infrastructure, the facility is designed to uphold LT Foods’ reputation for excellence and reliability in its product offerings. Spanning an impressive 100,000 square feet in Harlow, the strategic location of the facility enables LT Foods to efficiently serve the U.K. market.
The facility will feature a range of branded and private-label products to meet diverse consumer preferences. The U.K. rice and rice-based food market is valued at approximately £1 billion. LT Foods has initially invested £7 million in the facility, with plans to invest up to £50 million in the coming years.
The company anticipates generating annual revenues of £50 million within the next two years and aims to reach £100 million within five years. The establishment of this facility will also create employment opportunities for local talent.
LT Foods has already secured partnerships with four leading U.K. retailers, with plans for further expansion. With a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of rice per annum, the facility is poised to drive significant growth for LT Foods in the foreseeable future.
