Tata Elxsi, a leading global design and technology services provider, has officially opened the ‘xG-Force’ lab in Bengaluru. This cutting-edge facility is designed to accelerate 5G innovation by offering ready-to-use infrastructure, advanced tools, and a comprehensive partner ecosystem for applications across sectors such as transportation, healthcare, Industry 4.0, and media and communication.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Manoj Raghavan, MD & CEO of Tata Elxsi, and Kevin Plunkett, Vice President of Cloud Services at Boost Mobile (formerly DISH Wireless), an EchoStar company. Boost Mobile will be the first to leverage the xG-Force lab’s capabilities, marking a significant development in the collaboration between the two companies.

As the systems integrator for this initiative, Tata Elxsi will develop and integrate 5G applications using its advanced platforms: Neuron for autonomous networks, TETHER for connected vehicles, TEngage for digital health, and TEDAx for big data engineering. These platforms will facilitate solutions in AI, next-generation communications, and cutting-edge technologies.

The xG-Force lab aims to provide global customers with substantial benefits, including reduced operational expenses through AI-driven smart operations, the creation of new revenue streams, the promotion of data-driven innovations, and support for the subscription economy.

The lab has been created as a collaborative ecosystem with industry leaders, hyperscalers, and chip manufacturers. Key partners include RedHat for Private Cloud, AccuKnox for Cloud & Application Security, i2i Systems for 5G Core, and Rebaca for Test Tools. Tata Elxsi intends to broaden this collaboration by adding more global partners to enhance the lab’s capabilities further.

The lab will focus on critical areas including streaming media, private 5G, connected and electric vehicles, network charging stations, digital health, aerospace, and Industry 4.0 solutions for smart factories. It will also work on mitigating risks in vital sectors like transportation safety and healthcare data security, while providing the ultra-low latency essential for the future of interactive entertainment.
