Full Article: SpiceJet has taken a key step in its fleet revival plan with the delivery of the first two overhauled engines from leading global MRO provider StandardAero. This includes a CFM LEAP‐1B engine for its Boeing 737 MAX, refurbished at StandardAero’s Houston facility in the US, and a Q400 engine from the company’s Singapore facility.

As part of its phased approach to restoring fleet capacity, the airline has also successfully returned another Boeing 737 NG aircraft to active service last month.

SpiceJet had sent a total of 17 engines for overhaul as part of its broader maintenance strategy. With the initial two now received, the airline anticipates a steady inflow of engines in the coming months to further enhance operational readiness.

The overhaul distribution includes six CFM LEAP‐1B engines at the Houston facility and seven Q400 engines at the Singapore facility. Additionally, four engines have been sent to Carlyle Aviation to support the reactivation of more Boeing 737 NG aircraft.
