Royal Enfield( A division of Eicher Motors Limited) has launched the Classic 650 in India, starting at INR 3,37,000, as an addition to its Classic series. The model retains the traditional styling of the Classic range while incorporating a 650cc parallel twin engine for increased performance. The design follows the brand’s familiar aesthetic, featuring a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, flowing lines, and chrome accents, combined with updated engineering.
The Classic 650 maintains the visual identity of previous Classic models but introduces a revised stance with shorter fenders and wider tires. A LED headlamp, Showa suspension, and an ergonomically designed seat contribute to the riding experience. The 650cc twin motor delivers steady power output with minimal vibrations, and the overall structure is designed for stability on different terrains.
The model is available in four color options Vallam Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue, Teal, and Black Chrome. Riders can further modify the motorcycle with Genuine Motorcycle Accessories, including touring add-ons and aesthetic enhancements. The uncluttered digital dash provides basic ride information, including an odometer, trip meter, and gear position indicator.
Royal Enfield continues to emphasize its post-war British motorcycle influence, seen in the frame-loop design and the inclusion of the signature ‘tiger lamps’ alongside the headlamp. The riding posture is designed for long-distance travel, with a wide seat and well-positioned handlebars. The dual-seat setup allows for the pillion seat and rack to be removed using a single bolt mechanism.
The Classic 650 combines its heritage-based design with modern mechanical updates. With a focus on riding comfort, updated features, and engine refinement, it offers an option for those looking for a motorcycle with a classic appearance and contemporary functionality.
