Infosys has inaugurated its new 320,000 sq. ft. development center in Kolkata, West Bengal, with an investment exceeding INR 426 crore. The state-of-the-art facility is designed to accommodate over 4,000 employees in a hybrid work model, enabling them to work on advanced technologies such as cloud, AI, and digital solutions across industries including manufacturing, logistics, financial services, and energy.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee, along with senior officials from the state government and Infosys leadership.
Aligned with Infosys’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments, the center features sustainable design elements such as energy-efficient cooling, smart building automation, rainwater harvesting, and wastewater recycling.
The facility also includes flexible workstations, training rooms, and wellness centers to promote employee well-being. The center aims to drive innovation, create local employment opportunities, and position West Bengal as a leading hub for IT excellence in India, supporting Infosys’ commitment to strengthening the state’s growing IT ecosystem.
